The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center is a nonprofit and federally qualified health center, established in 1971. Their mission is to ensure that all members of the communities they work with — regardless of ability to pay— are provided with quality, comprehensive and culturally effective primary healthcare.

They are seeking a Part-time Hepatitis B Program Assistant.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordinating Hepatitis B awareness and screening events
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities for student groups to get involved in Hepatitis B advocacy and awareness activities
  • Assist with data collection for Hepatitis B research studies (administer informed consent and questionnaires to patients)
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Supervise special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with community health projects, preferably in Asian communities
  • Experience in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English
  • Candidates should be pursuing an MPH, MIA, MPA, MSW or relevant degree. Students in need of internship/practicum advisors are welcome to apply
  • Ability to work a minimum of 14 hours per week
  • Motivated, self-directed individual, able to work in a team
  • Strong interpersonal, writing and analytical skills
