Committee Details

The goals of the LGBTQ committee include:

Engage multiple NYC LGBTQ organizations in initiative

1. Assess the needs and gaps in viral hepatitis services for LGBTQ people

  • Create a directory of NYC LGBTQ organizations and programs
  • Invite LGBTQ organizations and programs to participate in the initiative.

2. Assess the needs and gaps in viral hepatitis services for LGBTQ people

  • Administer a baseline survey among participating organizations to assess current viral hepatitis services and care
  • Create a report on current LGBTQ viral hepatitis resources in NYC

3. Convene a LGBTQ Viral Hepatitis Strategic Planning Meeting

  • Decide on the initiative structure and leadership
  • Share and discuss survey results and opportunities for improving resources and services
  • Develop strategic plan for improving LGBTQ hepatitis-related services and care throughout NYC

4. Hold quarterly meetings to report on initiative progress

Administer a baseline survey among participating organizations to assess current viral hepatitis services and care
Create a report on current LGBTQ viral hepatitis resources in NYC
