The Positive Living Department seeks a part-time Outreach Worker/HIV Educator to join a team committed to high quality services for PLWH/A and to work on prevention of HIV, Hepatitis, and sexually transmitted diseases generally. In doing outreach, the worker promotes services that BronxWorks offers to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH/A) in the Bronx with the goal of referrals being made to programs for PLWH/A at BronxWorks. The position also involves doing presentations to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS, how the HIV is transmitted, risky behavior, and ways to reduce risk. HIV education and community outreach experience also preferred. Bilingual skills in English and other languages, including Spanish, also preferred.
