Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of project coordination; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

The incumbent in this position will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s in Public Health; Work experience with hepatitis C screening and linkage to care.  Work experience with drug treatment programs; Experience engaging organizational leadership and external stakeholders. Knowledge of program evaluation; Experience planning and facilitating meetings.   Knowledge of contract and fiscal management; Experience with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and the provision of technical assistance to service providers.  Experience producing written guidance documents and reports.

Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will coordinate a learning collaborative to integrate hepatitis C (HCV) services into NYS Drug Treatment Programs. This will include recruitment and selection of participating programs, assessment of organizational readiness, facilitation of monthly collaborative calls, one-on-one technical assistance for participating programs, dissemination of best practices. The Project Coordinator will manage and monitor contracts awarded as part of the learning collaborative, including review of work plans, budgets and program performance measures. In addition, the Project Coordinator will serve as a technical advisor to advance HCV/HIV programs and policies through stakeholder meetings, development of educational materials, and technical assistance to programs statewide. The Project Coordinator will work with leadership to coordinate activities related to the implementation of NYS Plan to Eliminate Hepatitis C, NYS Plan to End the Epidemic (ETE), and the NYS Viral Hepatitis Strategic Plan and other special projects to respond to emerging needs. Other related duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
