Hep B Program Associate

The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center (CBWCHC) is a leader in providing quality, culturally relevant, and affordable health care and education, and advocate on behalf of the health and social needs of underserved Asian Americans. CBWCHC’s Hepatitis B programs provide low and no-cost screening, monitoring and care. Additionally, CBWCHC provides linkage to care, referral pathways and participates in hepatitis B advocacy efforts in the New York metropolitan area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the Hepatitis B program at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center
  • Manage current Hepatitis B grant data management and reporting
  • Coordinate Hepatitis B Care Team meetings (monthly) and other program related meetings
  • Assist in writing and preparing new grant proposals
  • Support clinical and programmatic activities by working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Prepare data summary reports of Hepatitis B clinical care and screening activities
  • Assist in dissemination of Hepatitis B program strategies and data (presentations, abstracts, journal articles)
  • Participate in outreach and advocacy, including the NYC Hepatitis B Coalition and national organizations
  • Supervise outreach and awareness activities, such as NYC World Hepatitis Day and community testing events
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A master’s degree in a related field (MPH, MS, MPA, MSW etc), preferred
  • Previous experience working with community health projects, preferably in Asian communities
  • Excellent data analytical skills (minimum with Excel, additional experience with statistical programs SPSS or SAS would be beneficial)
  • Motivated, self-directed individual, ability to work independently, and able to work in a team
  • Strong interpersonal, writing and analytical skills
