Hep B Foundation Senior Program Director

The Hepatitis B Foundation (HBF) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a fulltime Senior Program Director in our Public Health Department. This new position will be responsible for developing a comprehensive program to build the capacity, facilitate networking, and provide training and technical assistance for community coalitions working on hepatitis B across the country; nurture productive relationships with federal, corporate, and private foundation partners; disseminate the CDC’s “Know Hepatitis B” educational campaign messages and materials in both high-risk ethnic communities and at a national level; and advance additional public health priorities of the HBF. Requirements for this position include a graduate degree in public health or related field and at least 3-5 years of professional experience in the nonprofit, academic or government sector with an emphasis on public health (and viral hepatitis preferred). Strong leadership skills and experience in coalition building/community organizing and public policy/advocacy are required. Experience working with federal agencies is a plus. Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; grant and report writing experience; well organized and able to prioritize; deadline and outcome-driven even while working outside of a traditional office environment; able to work independently in the field with mature judgment and decision-making skills; and bilingual abilities in an Asian language preferred. In addition, must have a car and be willing to travel for conferences and site visits.
