Part-time Hep C Peer Navigator at Mount Sinai
Peers navigators give patients support, time to talk, guidance for navigating the clinic, and referrals to resources inside and outside of the hospital. They also conduct community outreach and work on Special Projects as needed. Peers will work in the inpatient hospital setting as well as the outpatient clinics and the community to perform a variety of tasks. The list of duties below is intended to describe the most important aspects of the peer role. It is not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required in order to perform the work. Supportive Peers are cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Department and the Hospital Center.
Job Qualifications:
- Willingness to complete Peer Certification Program and other training requirements
- Flexible Schedule
- Basic Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word)
- Able to work independently
- Organized and able to manage a schedule
- Has a cellular device
- Able to complete paperwork, read, and write in English
- Open to learning and utilize computers as required
