The goal of this two-hour webinar for health and human services providers is to inform providers about the impact of the nation’s opiate crisis on the Hep C epidemic, so that they may better serve and address barriers for clients who are living with Hep C and/or have a relationship with opioid use.

Objectives:

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Discuss the history of both epidemics nationwide and within New York State
2. Describe the relationship between Hep C and opioid use
3. Identify harm reduction strategies for their clients
4. Highlight how the New York State Hep C Elimination Plan works to address health inequities among priority populations who are living with Hep C and/or use opioids
