The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center (CBWCHC) is a federally qualified health center that provides comprehensive primary care, social services and health education to underserved Asian Americans in New York City. We are a HRSA awarded National Quality Leader and strive to improve the health and health care of the communities we serve. The Health Center is a leader in providing care and advocating for patients with hepatitis B. We are recruiting for the following full-time position:
Job Title: Hepatitis B Program Director
Reports To: Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
Responsibilities:
- Direct the clinical hepatitis B (HBV) program at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center
- Oversee current HBV grants, reports and new grant proposals
- Lead the multi-disciplinary Hepatitis B Team and clinically lead the Hepatitis B Care Program, Hep B Moms Program and HBV Screening Programs
- Participate in HBV outreach and advocacy with a regional and national scope
- Lead dissemination efforts (presentations, abstracts, publications) of CBWCHC’s HBV work
- Maintain care of a panel of internal medicine patients
- Manage HBV program staff
- Other clinical projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or DO; board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
- Leadership or management experience in a clinical and/or program setting
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Experience with HBV or Asian health issues is a plus
- Ability to speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean or Spanish is a plus
