NYC Council Viral Hepatitis FY2018 Budget Proposal

Through the New York City Council’s Viral Hepatitis Initiative, the Council has demonstrated its tremendous commitment to respond to the Hepatitis B and C epidemics that have hit NYC’s communities.

The FY 2017-18 NYC Viral Hep Budget Proposal  supports building on the existing success of the City’s viral hepatitis programs, including Check Hep B Patient Navigation Program, Check Hep C Patient Navigation Program, Hep C Peer Navigation Program, and Hep C Clinical Mentoring Program.

In addition, advocates are requesting funding for the Hep C Mentor and Support Group and to continue Project INSPIRE at Montefiore Hospital.
