Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience in the conduct, or administration, of a public health or health regulatory program; OR seven years of such experience.  At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management.  A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of hepatitis C and HIV/HCV coinfection, including the rapidly changing field of hepatitis C screening, care and treatment and how it affects service delivery.  At least one year experience in program development and evaluation, contract and fiscal management and the provision of technical assistance to service providers.  Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). Knowledge and understanding of the AIDS Institute Reporting System (AIRS).  Meeting planning and facilitation skills. Ability to work independently.  The candidate must be highly motivated; possess excellent written, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

The Health Program Administrator will be responsible for contract management activities related to the hepatitis C care and treatment initiative.  Duties will include assisting the Viral Hepatitis Section Director in the overall design, management and evaluation of the hepatitis C care and treatment initiative.  Overseeing contracts with clinical service providers; developing solicitations and negotiating work plans and budgets; serving as a liaison with contracted clinical service providers; preparing and analyzing program reports; preparing various types of correspondence regarding program issues; assessing provider compliance with work plan objectives and monitoring overall performance.  Conducting site visits for the purpose of monitoring compliance with work plan objectives and providing technical assistance as indicated.  Organizing and participating in service provider meetings/webinars.  Participating in interdisciplinary workgroups and committees.  Other program-specific administrative tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Conditions of Employment:

Grant funded position.
