- Updated prevalence estimates for Hep B and C
- Ten-year trends in rates of people newly reported with chronic Hep B and C by sex, age, and race and ethnicity
- Hep B and C distribution maps by NYC City Council District and community navigation program sites
Monitoring Hepatitis Trends and Data
- 9,548 newly reported cases of Hep A, B, and C
- 6,947 newly reported cases of chronic Hep B, surpassing levels seen in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic
- 2,375 newly reported cases of chronic Hep C, a decline of 65% since 2014
Access to Care Highlights:
- Trained 911+ clinical providers to screen and treat Hep B and C
- Employed 13 Check Hep B bilingual patient navigators who reached 961 people with chronic Hep B and screened 1,026 people at risk for Hep B
- 14 syringe services programs served 22,693 New Yorkers and distributed 6,080,211 syringes
