The American Liver Foundation’s (ALF) mission is to facilitate, advocate, and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease. ALF’s programmatic efforts through its education, support, and outreach programs, research awards programs, and advocacy initiatives help further its mission.

Executive Director will provide the overall leadership and management for the strategies designed to create cost effective and on-going sources of revenue, community presence and mission enhancement within the  Chapter. Major areas of responsibility will include fund raising, division development, community involvement and public relations, and personal management, as well as, managing various administrative responsibilities associated with the Local office.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent .

Experience:

• Five years of progressively responsible related experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Work experience with not-for-profit health organization.
• Knowledge and skill in nonprofit manageent with emphasis on proven fundraising results
• Proficiency in fiscal managment
• Ability to leverage relationships and negotiate agreements
• Skilled in exercising sound judgment and in possession of good analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Proven supervisory, leadership and teambuilding skills
• Training and/or experience in community development and strategic planning
