Position: Outreach Specialist (Part-time)
Salary: $16-$18/hr

The selected candidate will work on a program to conduct enhanced case management and will perform the following duties:

• Conduct field investigations of hepatitis B positive pregnant women and their newborns.
• Provide health education about hepatitis B disease to the individual patients.
• Refer patients to liver specialists for medical management of hepatitis B.
• Locate and refer adult contacts for appropriate hepatitis B testing and/or vaccination.
• Monitor and record compliance with recommended immunization schedules for the children born to hepatitis B positive mothers.
• Conduct follow-up for hepatitis B testing to help ensure children are fully vaccinated against hepatitis B.
• Contact providers for data on hepatitis B test results, hepatitis B treatment and immunizations.
• Conduct medical record reviews in hospital and clinic settings.
