From the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA):
Effective immediately, all Veterans with Hep C may receive treatment within VA facilities without regard to stage of liver disease. The use of prioritization protocol to determine eligibility for treatment within the VA is no longer in effect.
The VA has received funding from Congress to support a more aggressive roll-out for treatment of Veterans who are infected with Hep C.
