On June 2, 2016 the Hep C Champions convened at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge for their 4th quarterly meeting. The meeting included presentations on HCV care at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, prior authorization by the Empire Liver Foundation and an in-depth discussion on reflex testing implementation and methods to improve screening and treatment access.

South Asian Hep Initiative Meeting Highlights | 10-21-21
Members of the LGBTQ Initiative met to organize panel discussions on Hepatitis; help develop a LGBTQ hepatitis personal stories workshop; help produce LGBTQ hepatitis resources; and plan for Pride events.
The meeting featured presentations on The Fortune Society and Sandra Atlas Bass Center for Liver Diseases services, updates on NYC Health Dept Hep C surveillance, and a Hep testing model used by NewYork Presbyterian Queens.
The Harlem Hep C Task Force Meeting featured advice on how to support City Council Hep C advocacy, information about the Harlem United Check Hep C Program, and an update on Project INSPIRE.
CHIPO-NYC Committee meeting featured a presentation about the Prevention of Hep B virus transmission from mother to child in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) by Dr. Peyton Thompson, pediatric infectious disease specialist at the University of North Carolina.
Committee members designed a second version of the LGBTQ Hepatitis Resource Card and planned a Hep A and B vaccination campaign targeting the LGBTQ community.
