Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of experience in the administration of personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of general experience.
The incumbent in this position will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Public Health; work experience with hepatitis C, including hepatitis C prevention, care and treatment and the barriers associated with accessing to health care services; at least three years of experience in contract management; at least three years of experience in implementing, managing and evaluating public health programs; at least two years of experience in data management, including the ability to interpret data to monitor program outcomes and for quality improvement; experience with continuous quality improvement (CQI) and the provision of technical assistance to service providers; experience with the development and coordination of solicitations.
Responsibilities
The Health Program Administrator II will be located in the Bureau of Hepatitis Health Care (BHHC) in the Division of HIV and Hepatitis Health Care. The Bureau oversees policy and program development related to hepatitis services, including hepatitis services for persons co-infected with HIV and hepatitis C (HCV). The incumbent will manage the HCV/HIV Care and Treatment initiatives; oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of initiatives related to HCV linkage to care, medical care, treatment and supportive services for people living with HCV/HIV; coordinate and oversee the coordination of activities related to the NYS Plan to Eliminate Hepatitis C, NYS Plan to End the Epidemic (ETE), and the NYS Viral Hepatitis Strategic Plan; provide supervision of staff; program representation; and perform and/or oversee other appropriate related duties.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
