Our Services
The Hepatitis C Clinical and Research Program provides community education and conducts rapid hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody testing and confirmatory HCV RNA testing in the community to identify individuals with chronic hepatitis C infection and link them to health care. This is also known as our Hepatitis C Education and Liver Screening (HEALS) program. We also provide evaluation and treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection in the primary care setting using a multidisciplinary team model – mental health, social work, and nutrition services are available to all patients. In addition, we, hold a monthly patient support group on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6:00p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Through the New York State Department of Health HepCAP program, we are able to provide medical care for patients who do not qualify for health insurance, including undocumented persons.
