    This two-hour webinar from the Regional Training Center will introduce providers to trauma and the impact on clients with HIV/STIs/Hep C. This course will review the definition of trauma and trauma informed care. Objectives Define trauma and list examples of trauma that clients with HIV/STIs/Hep C encounter Describe the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Study and its importance to providers Define trauma informed care List at least 5 triggers that may re-traumatize clients with HIV/STIs/Hep Register

    Viral Hepatitis Diagnostics Working Group Call Thursday, October 23 | 3 – 4 PM Email Adrienne Simon to RSVP Purpose: Advocate for accessible, affordable, effective, and rapid viral hepatitis diagnostics, that most closely meet communities where they are, in pursuit of viral hepatitis elimination. Bring the voice of people with lived experience to the table in developing strategies, activities, and tactics to achieve our advocacy goals. Membership: The Working Group is coordinated by the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR). The Working Group is composed of advocates, clinicians, community-based organizations, people with lived experience, and researchers. Membership is open to anyone from these communities who are committed to advancing the Working Group’s goals. To join the Working Group, email Adrienne Simmons (adrienne@nvhr.org). After joining, members will be added to a Google Group (hepdiagnostics@googlegroups.com) and receive a calendar invite, as well as access to a Google Drive. Meeting Schedule: The Working Group meets monthly via Zoom on the 4th Thursday at 3:00 pm Eastern. All Working Group members are encouraged to participate in as many meetings as possible. This webinar is part of the broad dissemination of two recently published papers in The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology on expanded and earlier treatment of Hep B. It is co-hosted by the Hep B Foundation and the International Coalition to Eliminate Hep B (ICE-HBV) and will feature authors from each paper.
