Hep C Prevention with Young People Who Use Drugs Thursday, July 30, 2026 | 1 - 2:30 PM RSVP Description: This 90-minute training will discuss the high Hep C virus incidence and low treatment initiation rates among young people who use drugs (PWUD). This training will help participants understand that novel, simplified care models need to be developed to engage, treat, and cure hard-to-reach patient populations, such as young people who use drugs. Objectives: As a result of this training, participants will be able to: -Describe the scope of Hep C infection among young PWUD -Explain the association between the emerging epidemic of Hep C infections among young persons and the opioid epidemic -Identify factors that can impact YPWUD and vulnerability for Hep C infection; -Identify the principles of youth-centered, harm reduction-oriented service provisions -Identify strategies for Hep C prevention, care, and treatment for young PWUD RSVP
