The Family Center (TFC) in collaboration with AIDS Community Resources, Inc, (ACR) is hosting a virtual interactive sessions that spotlights and celebrates Hepatitis Awareness Month in May. Education and Training’s two centers of expertise will come together to “Check your knowledge” on all things Hep C and its intersection with drug user health.
The goal of this 1-hour webinar is to bring awareness to the topic of Hep C, support non-clinicals providers in understanding the importance of promoting health among clients as it relates to Hep C, and educate providers about the importance of linkages to care and reducing potential Hep C transmission.
By the end of the webinar participants will be able to:
- Disseminate accurate facts about Hep C transmission, screening, and treatment
- Identify and discuss Hep C infection prevention and harm reduction strategies
- Become familiar with relevant clinical guidelines and resources related to Hep C and Drug User Health
Audience:
Non-physician health and human services providers including case managers, social workers, patient navigators, and peer workers.
