Training | Overdose Prevention & Response with Naloxone (NYC Health Dept)
Overdose Prevention & Response with Naloxone Wednesday, November 19, 2025 | 2 - 3 PM RSVP Description: This virtual training will teach you how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose using naloxone and provide information on how to access free naloxone. The training runs for approximately one hour and kits can be mailed to attendees upon request following the training. Please note: Kits can only be mailed to addresses within the five boroughs of New York City. To access kits outside of NYC, please visit here. Once you have registered for the training, you will receive a few follow-up emails from NYC Health Department via Zoom: Immediately after you register: Registration confirmation email with log-in information One (1) day and one (1) hour before the training: Training reminder emails If it is the day before the training and you did not receive an email with the Zoom log-in information, you should reach out to us at naloxone@health.nyc.gov. Please check your spam folder before reaching out, as emails from NYC Health Department may have mistakenly sorted into your spam folder. Please note: Organizations may register key staff members to be trained, but no more than two naloxone kits will be issued per organization (individuals may still get their own kit for personal use if they would like). Please do not share the link as seats are limited and log-in information is unique to the registrant. Opioid Overdose Prevention Program (OOPP) Staff: If your organization is a registered OOPP and you would like to be trained in DISPENSING naloxone, this is not the right training to take.
