Share information about viral hepatitis prevention and harm reduction strategies.
Recall who should be screened for Hep B and C.
Describe the two-step testing process for Hep C.
Identify resources for Hep C testing in NYS.
Explain the spectrum of illness associated with Hep C to clients.
Recall important facts about new treatments for Hep C and available treatment resources in New York State.
Advise clients with Hep C on the importance of Hep A and B vaccination, avoiding alcohol, maintaining good liver health, and preventing re-infection.
Recall the NYS AIDS Institute Hep C Peer Worker competencies.
