Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and communicable diseases are often viewed in isolation – but in reality, they are deeply interconnected.
Preventing and managing communicable diseases can reduce the risk of developing many NCDs. Additionally, individuals living with communicable diseases frequently face comorbidities that are noncommunicable in nature.
