The goal of this 90-minute webinar is to provide service providers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to confidently describe the function of the new Cepheid GeneXpert Xpress Hep C test— the first CLIA-waived point-of-care Hep C RNA diagnostic test available in the United States. This webinar will provide service providers with practical strategies to support and engage clients while awaiting test results. This innovative test advances Hep C care by producing RNA results in approximately one hour, enabling same-visit diagnosis and expediting engagement in treatment and care.
Objectives:
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the purpose and benefits of Hep C POC testing.
2. Review different testing models.
3. Identify operational and practical considerations when adopting Hep C POC testing.
4. Support client engagement throughout the testing process.
5. Interpret and explain POC test results.
