Committee Mission:

Develops Hep Free NYC social media strategy and posts information/resources on the Hep Free NYC website and social platforms. As well as promote and engage in outreach for Hep Free NYC planned events, pre-event promotion and post-event documenting successes on social media platforms.

Hepatitis Awareness Month X (Twitter) Chat Discussion:

  • Reduce the number of questions to eight or nine max
  • Shift questions to encourage city officials and council members involvement and highlight hepatitis champions efforts
  • Create a question or two focused on the NYC VH Elimination plan
  • Create an updated list of NYC elected officials X(Twitter) handles

Action Plan:

  • Connect Sue and Positive Alliance for Change communications team to Jonathan and Hispanic Federation to strategize press release
  • Finalize Hepatitis Awareness Month Social Media Toolkit 2024
  • Research other social platforms to replace X(Twitter) for future Hep Awareness Chat

Possible Projects:

  • Database of elected official’s social media handles
  • Create social media post in other languages for organizations to share (French, Korean, Chinese/Mandarin, Swahili or other African language)
