NYC Hep C Task Force | Brooklyn
Serving the Borough of Brooklyn, NY
The NYC Hep C Task Force was founded in 2004 in the South Bronx, and has grown into a citywide network of service providers and advocates working to prevent, manage and treat hepatitis C.
The mission of the NYC Hep C Task Force is to build community capacity for the effective prevention, screening, management and treatment of Hepatitis C by promoting collaboration among key stakeholders and effecting change through participation in policy advancement, initiating innovative projects, and facilitation of enhanced knowledge sharing.
The NYC Hep C Task Force meets twice a year in each borough and convenes committees, workgroups, citywide awareness days and trainings. The groups come together to learn, share information and resources, network, and identify hep C related needs in the community. Committees form to work on projects in order to meet needs identified by the community.
