To protect, improve and promote the health, productivity and well being of all New Yorkers.
The AIDS Institute protects and promotes the health of New York State’s diverse population through disease surveillance and the provision of quality prevention, health care and support services for those impacted by HIV, AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, viral hepatitis and related health concerns.
The AIDS Institute is committed to the following guiding principles and core values:

HepCX is working with the New York State AIDS Institute to implement a quality management program for Hep C. HepCQual will allow hospitals and individual providers to measure and track their progress towards improving quality of care and Hep C clinical outcomes.
