Capacity to Cure: Telementoring Program
CME/CNE/CEU earned each week following online post-test.
Goal
To provide clinicians with the background knowledge to be able to manage patients diagnosed with Hepatitis C using the most current treatment options. Using updated treatment guidelines will decrease possible side effects, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
Schedule
MONDAYS & THURSDAYS from 5:00PM‐6:00PM beginning February 8 and 11, 2016
Structure
- Empire Liver Foundation experts will lead the hour‐long sessions through WebEx.
- Case Presentations
- ELF experts will present a case to the group that focuses on a specific topic (cirrhosis, liver cancer, non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease) for the first 10‐15 minutes of the session.
- Participants will then share case PowerPoint presentations they have prepared followed by questions and group discussion during the remaining 45 minutes.
Expectations
Participants are expected to:
- Submit a Capacity to Cure Tele‐mentoring Disclaimer Form.
- Make every attempt to attend every weekly session and to be on time.
- Prepare a case presentation.
- Attend Empire Liver Foundation’s HCV Tele‐mentoring Orientation. You may begin mentoring sessions prior to Orientation.
