SUMMARY:Training | Overdose Prevention & Response with Naloxone (NYC Health Dept)
DESCRIPTION:Overdose Prevention & Response with Naloxone\nWednesday\, March 4\, 2026 | 10 – 11 AM\nRSVP\nDescription:\nThis virtual training will teach you how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose using naloxone and provide information on how to access free naloxone. \nThe training runs for approximately one hour and kits can be mailed to attendees upon request following the training. \nPlease note: Kits can only be mailed to addresses within the five boroughs of New York City. \nTo access kits outside of NYC\, please visit here. \nOnce you have registered for the training\, you will receive a few follow-up emails from NYC Health Department via Zoom: \n\nImmediately after you register: Registration confirmation email with log-in information\nOne (1) day and one (1) hour before the training: Training reminder emails\n\nIf it is the day before the training and you did not receive an email with the Zoom log-in information\, you should reach out to us at naloxone@health.nyc.gov. Please check your spam folder before reaching out\, as emails from NYC Health Department may have mistakenly sorted into your spam folder. \nPlease note: Organizations may register key staff members to be trained\, but no more than two naloxone kits will be issued per organization (individuals may still get their own kit for personal use if they would like). \nPlease do not share the link as seats are limited and log-in information is unique to the registrant. \nOpioid Overdose Prevention Program (OOPP) Staff: If your organization is a registered OOPP and you would like to be trained in DISPENSING naloxone\, this is not the right training to take. Please contact us by emailing naloxone@health.nyc.gov to receive the Training of Dispensers (TOD) calendar. \nRSVP

SUMMARY:Scaling Up Liver Cancer Prevention Through Hepatitis Elimination in Europe (World Hepatitis Alliance)
DESCRIPTION:Accelerating Action: Scaling Up Liver Cancer Prevention Through Hepatitis Elimination in Europe\nTuesday\, March 24\, 2026 | 8:30 – 10 AM\nRSVP\nDescription:\nLiver cancer is the sixth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Europe\, with most cases caused by viral hepatitis. While the tools to eliminate viral hepatitis exist\, less than 40% of people living with hepatitis have been diagnosed in the EU/EEA. It is imperative that we act now to turn the tide and prevent liver cancer by driving action on hepatitis elimination in Europe. To help drive progress\, the World Hepatitis Alliance\, in partnership with the European Cancer Organisation (ECO)\, the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL)\, and the European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA)\, is organising a hybrid event to bring together different stakeholders to discuss how to finance and embed comprehensive hepatitis programmes into national cancer plans\, building on Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. \nRSVP
