SUMMARY:Advocating for Access to 2-dose Hepatitis Vaccine (Immunization Alliance for Equity & Access)
DESCRIPTION:Advocating for Access to 2-dose Hepatitis Vaccine\nWednesday\, June 11 | 4 – 5 PM\nRSVP\nDescription:\nThe Immunization Alliance for Equity and Access (IAEA) is continuing their advocacy to expand access to Hep B vaccines\, particularly for those at increased risk. \nThey are currently focusing advocacy in California\, by urging major health care payers to update their Hep B vaccination practices by expanding availability of the proven more effective (and faster) 2-dose over a month Hep B vaccine series\, rather than continued reliance on the 3-dose over six months vaccine. We believe that the adoption of the 2-dose vaccine for adult patients will result in higher completion rates\, improve public health\, save more lives\, and help move the nation toward elimination. \nJoin this webinar to learn more about the community letter and hear from Dr. Marina Roytman\, Health Sciences Clinical Professor\, Gastroenterology Department\, UCSF Fresno. \nRSVP

SUMMARY:Training | Overdose Prevention & Response with Naloxone (NYC Health Dept)
DESCRIPTION:Overdose Prevention & Response with Naloxone\nWednesday\, June 25 | 6 – 7 PM\nRSVP\nDescription:\nThis virtual training will teach you how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose using naloxone and provide information on how to access free naloxone. \nThe training runs for approximately one hour and kits can be mailed to attendees upon request following the training. \nPlease note: Kits can only be mailed to addresses within the five boroughs of New York City. \nTo access kits outside of NYC\, please visit here. \nOnce you have registered for the training\, you will receive a few follow-up emails from NYC Health Department via Zoom: \n\nImmediately after you register: Registration confirmation email with log-in information\nOne (1) day and one (1) hour before the training: Training reminder emails\n\nIf it is the day before the training and you did not receive an email with the Zoom log-in information\, you should reach out to us at naloxone@health.nyc.gov. Please check your spam folder before reaching out\, as emails from NYC Health Department may have mistakenly sorted into your spam folder. \nPlease note: Organizations may register key staff members to be trained\, but no more than two naloxone kits will be issued per organization (individuals may still get their own kit for personal use if they would like). \nPlease do not share the link as seats are limited and log-in information is unique to the registrant. \nOpioid Overdose Prevention Program (OOPP) Staff: If your organization is a registered OOPP and you would like to be trained in DISPENSING naloxone\, this is not the right training to take. Please contact us by emailing naloxone@health.nyc.gov to receive the Training of Dispensers (TOD) calendar. \nRSVP
