The National Task Force on Hepatitis B Focus on Asian Pacific Islander Americans is a volunteer-based national coalition that brings together scientists, health professionals, not-for-profit organizations, and concerned citizens in a concerted effort to eliminate the transmission of hepatitis B and decrease health disparities among those chronically infected.

Improving Hep B Awareness, Screening, Vaccination and Linkage to Care Among LGBTQ Communities June is Pride Month! In the U.S. an estimated 2.2 million persons are living with chronic hepatitis B, but only 25% are aware of their infection. Did you know the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends routine hepatitis B vaccination and testing for chronic hepatitis B for men who have sex with men (MSM)? Please join us for a webinar on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm EDT to discuss efforts to improve hepatitis B awareness, screening, vaccination, and linkage to care among LGBTQ communities. Panelists will share efforts to raise hepatitis B awareness, testing, and vaccination among the MSM Latinx community in King County, Washington and the CDC’s Division of Viral Hepatitis will share resources to promote hepatitis A and B vaccination among MSM communities.
