Webinar | Naloxone Training
July 30 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
Free Naloxone Training
We are hosting free naloxone (Narcan) presentation on Zoom on Thursday, July 30th at 2 PM. Kits will be mailed out to participants!
Naloxone is a medication used to revert an opioid overdose. It is its only function and doesn’t work on any other drugs unless opioids are present. It’s non-addictive and has no known adverse effects but it will put the person having the overdose in immediate withdrawal. It is not a controlled substance but currently available by prescription only.
The REACH program is a registered opioid overdose prevention program and we are providing this presentation on Zoom. Participants will learn about naloxone and how to use it and will be mailed a kit following the presentation. The presentation is open to both staff and clients.
