Webinar | Expanding Knowledge Related to Hep B Among Nail Salon Workers in the US

May 5 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

May is Hepatitis Awareness Month and Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month!
In the United States, up to 2.2 million individuals have been chronically infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV). Hepatitis B disproportionately affects Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, including many nail salon workers who are limited English proficient, come from underserved communities, and face barriers to accessing to healthcare services.
Please join the Hepatitis B Foundation and Hep B United to discuss barriers and knowledge associated with HBV in the Vietnamese nail salon worker community. This webinar will feature a recent effort led by Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health, Hep B United Philadelphia, and VietLead on outreach strategies within Vietnamese-owned nail salons in Greater Philadelphia to improve overall health for the community
