National HIV/Hep C Co-Infection Awareness Day
Prevent, Test, Treat (HIV) – Cure (Hep C)
The AETC HIV/Hep C Co-infection Community of Practice and Learning has designated May 17th as the first annual HIV/Hep C Co-infection Awareness Day. This date was chosen to complement HIV Vaccine Awareness Day – May 18, Hepatitis Testing Day – May 19, and National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day – May 19, which are inclusive of several activities planned during the month of May, Hepatitis Awareness Month. HIV/Hep C Co-infection Awareness Day provides an opportunity for healthcare providers and health departments to educate colleagues, constituents, and clients about the importance of curing Hep C infection in people living with HIV.
More information and resources about HIV/Hep C Co-infection Awareness Day will be available soon.
