Meeting | Hep B Patient-Focused Drug Development Meeting
June 9 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm EDT
Please join the Hepatitis B Foundation for a Hepatitis B Externally Led Patient-Focused Drug Development (PFDD).
Virtual Meeting on June 9, 2020, from 12:30 pm-4:30 pm ET. The meeting will include panel sessions from people living with hepatitis B, as well as live, engaging discussions among those impacted with hepatitis B.
The primary purpose of this meeting is to hear directly from patients about their perspectives on living with a disease and their treatments to improve the development of new drugs in the research pipeline. The FDA understands that the patient perspective is critical in helping to inform the FDA in its regulatory decisions for new drugs and clinical trial designs.
In addition to patients and family members, other stakeholders we are inviting to the meeting will include community partners, federal partners, industry partners, healthcare providers, and researchers from academia. Everyone will have the unique opportunity to hear directly from patients, their families, and patient advocates about the impact the disease have on their daily lives, their experiences with currently available treatments, and their opinions about future cures and what they would be willing to accept in new drug clinical trials.
