Prevent, Test, Treat (HIV) – Cure (HCV)
The AETC HIV/HCV Co-infection Community of Practice and Learning has designated May 17th as the first annual HIV/HCV Co-infection Awareness Day. This date was chosen to complement HIV Vaccine Awareness Day – May 18, Hepatitis Testing Day – May 19, and National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day – May 19, which are inclusive of several activities planned during the month of May, Hepatitis Awareness Month. HIV/HCV Co-infection Awareness Day provides an opportunity for healthcare providers and health departments to educate colleagues, constituents, and clients about the importance of curing HCV infection in people living with HIV.
More information and resources about HIV/HCV Co-infection Awareness Day will be available soon.
