About CEI:
The Clinical Education Initiative (CEI), a New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute program, offers free continuing medical education to enhance the capacity of New York State’s diverse healthcare workforce to deliver high-quality healthcare services and improve patient health outcomes. CEI’s Hep C and Drug User Health Center of Excellence enhances provider capacity through webinars, trainings, intensive preceptorship program, technical assistance and more!

- Define harm reduction principles.
- Describe recent epidemiologic trends linking substance use disorder with infectious diseases such as HIV, viral hepatitis and Syphilis.
- Describe harm reduction techniques and skills that a practitioner can employ in their practice.
