CRPA/CASAC Certification Renewal

The Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) professional is required by New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) to renew certification every three years through documented completion of 60 clock hours of continuing professional education.
Similarly, the Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) professional is required by The New York Certification Board (NYCB)
to document 28 hours continued education and training every three years to maintain certification.
All courses are designed to enhance learning, development and skills for CASAC/CRPA professionals

An overview of substance use and addiction, participants will review substances most commonly used today, the impact of stigma, and evidence-based practices to address addiction.

Opioid Use Disorder
The leading cause of death in the United States, participants will develop an understanding of opioid use disorder and best practices designed to combat the opioid epidemic.

An introduction to the myths, benefits, risks, and effectiveness of medication-assisted treatment to assist in recovery from addiction.
PDX-192 S 2 sessions (10 hours) / $100 /
