May is Hepatitis Awareness Month! Community partners are holding events across NYC this month, to raise awareness and provide free testing to those at risk for viral hepatitis.

Find an event in your community! Look for updates on this page and our calendar.

Free Hepatitis B Community Screening Events:

May 18th (Sun)
*10am-3pm (Chinatown, Manhattan) at CBWCHC (268 Canal St, 2nd floor). Contact Nicole Bannister.
*9am-1pm (Flushing, Queens) at CBWCHC (136-26 37th Ave, 2nd floor). Contact Nicole Bannister.
May 19th (Mon)
*12pm-4pm (Chinatown, Manhattan) at Lin Sing Association (49 Mott Street) and
from 12pm-1pm two local community physicians will be conducting hepatitis B-related talks – event sponsored by CAMS, CAIPA and New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. Contact Jamie Love.
May 31st (Sat)
*10am-2pm (Flushing, Queens) at the 25th Parents Festival & Health Fair

Documentary Screening | The Fix. Village East Cinema. May 19th | 9 PM. Buy ticketsThis film portrays the story of a group of methadone patients who undergo treatment for Hepatitis C and become peer educators and advocates in the process.  You will also see several Einstein staff who talk about their work with our Hep C peer educators and who treat Hep C every day.
